What do you think of when you give a gift?
Do you think of yourself, or do you think about the recipient?

[That was totally a trick question]

I have to be honest, MOST people think of what they would want in a gift, first….Now, now, don’t stop reading and get mad at me for saying that…  hear me out!

I Just created gifts for a wedding, and I thought only of the bride!

At the end of the day, we are ultimately friends with others, because of similarities, right?

You’re not going to be friends with someone you can’t relate to… are you?
No! Exactly, that’s why gifting to a friend is always good to think of what you would want to receive yourself, but knowing the friend well enough to choose a candle over a dish towel given the right occasion.

Lets talk about the gift I made last week.

Leah Loves the farmers market, she is also very detail oriented; so naturally I would want to incorporate items that resonate with her, but are useful to the 10 girls. I knew that practically everyone in this group has a kitchen, whether it be an apartment or a home, so I opted for a dish towel! But included a little candle, because a candle is an obvious gift, if you don’t know what to buy… trust me, this is a safe option.

Next, I went for a little notepad, to make list… again incorporating a useful item, these girls can put them on the counter at home, or take the little notepad to work.

Finally, I put a little face mask in the boxes. I felt the gift went a little heavy on “kitchen” so to soften the gift, the girls could use the candle in their bathroom, and soak in the tub with their face mask.

Is this gift all over the place? Sounds like it, but honestly its not, at all. It was ALL about the bride. She is from a little town (Nashville) the hometown color is Orange, she love to cook, she also love peaches (again, coincidentally, grown in Nashville).

So everything centered around her, and things that were important to her … BUT I tied together with a common color, and theme.

I’m going to sell THIS BOX the entire Month of July for $70.
Let me know if I need to put one aside for you!
