Oh California, how I adore you. Now… don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Arkansas, you know that… but my goodness, have you been to California?
My first visit (2010) was for work, before I met my husband. It was the furthest place I’d ever traveled alone, I explored Costa Mesa, Laguna Beach and Los Angeles for a week. A trip I regret not having any photos, or at least any I can locate.
In 2012 Brian and I set out on a little adventure and drove the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) from LA to San Fran, and up to Sonoma over a weeks time.
That was an incredible trip, however a little tense to be honest. HE was more ‘spontaneous’ I on the other hand wanted to know where we were going to sleep every night.
A 40th birthday trip sent us back to Sonoma and Napa in 2016. It was Such an extraordinary trip.

Alas, we decided to head back to California this month; and spend some time in the LA region again. When we left Little Rock, the weather was a bit crummy (dreary, rain, cold!) We got to California – and it was the same! Funny though, upon coming back home; everyone said how beautiful it looked while we were in California; sure it did! IT was on Instagram (you only post your best photos there, right!?) Truth of the matter we were just happy to get out of the house; and adventure!
